A ghost stole your potion ingredients. Show the inhabitants of the haunted castle next door that you're not a witch to mess with.

Crazy Cauldron is a combat platformer about throwing enemies into your cauldron to assemble spells. Stun enemies with your broom or your spells, throw them in your cauldron (or your cauldron at them), then stir up more magic. But beware - freaky sludgemen, eyeballs, bats, spiders, and more will try to stop you from getting your valuable ingredients back! Will they stop you in your tracks, or will they become ingredients in your evil brew?

CONTROLS:

  Left and right arrow keys move you around. 

  Press Z to jump in a fixed arc. Press Z in midair to mount your broom to get some more height and readjust your jump.

  X swings your broom to whack beasties. If you have a spell equipped, it also launches the spell. It can knock around stunned enemies.

  Down picks up stunned enemies. If you're holding an enemy, hit X to throw them, or down again to drop them.

  Shift summons your cauldron if it's offscreen. It appears in your hands, so you can throw it immediately.

  Up lets you stir your cauldron. When you do, you can choose a new spell to equip. Hit Z to select a spell.

TIPS:

  Stunned enemies can get back up after a while, so act fast! 

  When you select a spell, you get mana based on how many enemies your cauldron ate. Four's the max, but if you get all four, you can access a powerful healing spell.

  Each spell has its benefits. Fireball is fast and hits hard. Homing Bolt isn't the strongest, but it homes in on enemies. Bubble is cheap and can hit areas above you that are challenging to whack with your broom. Experiment and see what works!

  The HAND will chase you if you don't get away from it quick enough. Either take it out or outrun it -- but beware, it's a better jumper than you are.

  You can use your broom to access platforms you can't quite jump up to.

  Hitting enemies with other enemies will deal some damage in a pinch.
